Tokyo’s Adorable Edo Period Themed Cat Cafe Puts the Hiss into History
Mount Fuji or Cat Cafe?… Mount Fuji or Cat Cafe? Both are a must-experience during a trip to Tokyo. But then again, Mount Fuji is a cultural icon, and cat cafes are nothing special nowadays. But one is far away and will require a lot of physical effort, while the other is relaxing, cosy and, most importantly of all, cute!
If you really don’t have the time or money to do both, there’s a new cat cafe opening within Tokyo which has managed to bring the two tourist attractions together.
A Cat Cafe with a View of Mount Fuji!
Moff Animal Cafe which is opening this week in Minami Machida, has wide windows which boast a view of Machida's Grandberry Park, and on a clear day, patrons can catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji in the distance.
Apart from the arresting view, there’s a few other features that make this cat cafe special.
Firstly, the cafe is welcoming to families. Normally the staff at cat cafes are wary of letting children in, in case they do something to upset the feline inhabitants, or the reverse. But Moff Animal Cafe’s staff are on hand to make sure the children and cats can play together peacefully.
Another fun service at Moff is the original latte art featuring the cafe’s own furry friends as the muses. Choose your favourite cat to enjoy their foamy portrait.
The cafe is also equipped with semi-private rooms, allowing customers to relax even more, away from prying eyes. These rooms are especially good for those on a romantic date.
These cool aspects make it tempting to while away the hours all day in Moff's. Luckily, there's an all-day fee which allows you to stay for as long as you want for just 1600 yen on a weekday, and 2400 yen at the weekend (not including tax).
