Japan’s PuiPui Is “The Most Stylish Bunny in the World” And Has The Costumes And Derp Faces To Prove It
Recently, while changing the TV channels and searching for something interesting, I stumbled upon “Uwasa no Okyaksama”(ウワサのお客さま/The rumored customer), a show that you can watch on Fuji TV, Fridays from 9 PM.
What made me watch was this energetic grandma who was jumping from one attraction to another. Not only was she super adorable, but she also had so much energy and such positive vibes coming out from that fragile and small body of hers, that even though it was my first time seeing her, I fell in love with that Genki-ness at first sight.
Who is Yoshiko san?
Yoshiko-san told the TV crew that, until a very late age, she didn’t really have time to play as she worked 6 days out of 7 to raise her children and all she knew was work. Therefore, when her family brought her to Disneyland for the first time, she fell in love with the fairy-tale land and the magic that surrounded the place.
Age doesn’t matter
Yoshiko-san is currently 75 years old, but she has more energy than those of a younger age. She loves the Disney character Duffy the bear (ダッフィー), and even rides the most terrifying Disney attractions such as Tower of Terror at Disney Sea!
She was filmed while riding it and while the elevator was going down she simply kept laughing. Then, when it reached the top, where you can take a glimpse of the beautiful land of magic, she even screamed “Duffyyyyy!!”.
She is adorable!
After the ride, if you can believe it, even though everybody assumed she might be tired and would be heading home to rest, as she was going to the exit, she actually took a big bag from the coin locker and entered a toilet/changing place for about 30 minutes.
Can you guess who she transformed into?
None other than PETER PAN, which happens to be one of my favorite Disney characters (not that matters to anyone, but oh well...).
Yes, you guessed right! Grandma Yoshiko is also a great cosplayer and even owns costumers after getting immersed in the Disney magic. She even started her own Instagram account!
I’ll leave the link below as I am sure many of you can’t wait to check out her incredible outfits, steal some of the positive vibes and get your fill of energy for today.
Yoshiko-san has a few more cosplays besides Peter Pan, such as Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland or 101 Dalmatians, as well as many other cute and fancy outfits.
Yoshiko-san worked and is still working as a hairdresser but apparently she goes to Disneyland when the salon has a day off. Fortunately for her, that happens to be Tuesdays, when it's also less crowded than weekends or national holidays.
She is a character, an inspiration, someone who shows us you can do what you love and have fun regardless of how old you are, and definitely someone who enjoys every moment of her life to its fullest.
Honestly, she is the first grandma I’ve seen jumping, dancing, riding the Tower of Terror while laughing until the end and still having that much energy left.
I love her and I’m one hundred and one percent sure you will too. As promised, here is Yoshiko obaachan’s official Instagram Account:
