Yoko Taro is no stranger to funky stories that have rarely ever been seen before, but given his own enthusiasm for cooking and eating delicious food, it really shouldn't come as a surprise that he'd pen a manga series dedicated to one of the most famous gyūdon beef bowl chains in Japan: Yoshinoya. For those unfamiliar with Yoshinoya, according to the English Wikipedia page, “Yoshinoya is a Japanese multinational fast-food chain and the second-largest chain of gyūdon (beef bowl) restaurants. The chain was established in Japan in 1899. Its motto is "Tasty, low-priced, and quick".
The “Yoshinoya Brothers” manga currently has seven chapters available to read for free through the LINE Manga application. This app is actually separate from the main LINE communication app that many people use for texting, phone calls, and more. New chapters are typically uploaded every other Friday, but given the Coronavirus pandemic, there may be some delays in the schedule.
Additionally, Yoko’s other manga series “Thou Shalt Not Die” with illustrator Moriyama Daisuke is also available in the app. The first volume is half off at 319 coins* while other chapters are set at 639 coins each. The more recent releases with Vol.8 and 9 are 660 coins since these were released after the tax increase.

Synopsis and More
The manga follows a 38-year-old company employee, Koyanagi Shohei, and a 17-year-old high school student, Mizushima Yasuo, who are not necessarily bad friends, but somewhat distant "brothers". Taking place at a "Yoshinoya" restaurant, the story revolves around delicious food as the familial bonds are woven at a leisurely pace.
