Babies are such weird, drooling, inarticulate munchkins with ridiculous demands. They eat and nap ad nauseam but incite chaos at odd hours of the night. They are prone to mental breakdowns at the mall, yet they are the life of any party. They pass out in inappropriate places and often need to be carried to bed. They soil themselves and often dance naked...

Manga artist Naco Kodama 児玉なこ (@P9bnSmjsCpDG1kI) recently posted a manga about making her infant son laugh. She'd been watching YouTube videos of babies cracking up at the simplest of things and wanted her son to share in the experience. However, getting a chuckle, let alone an applause break, was more challenging than she initially supposed:

It turns out babies love prop comedy. As it's summertime, perhaps Nako's next bit should be a Gallagher-esque watermelon routine. Think suikawari on the beach--it'd work in Japan.
