When it comes to the international hit manga and anime franchise Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, all of the Hashira in the Demon Slayer Corps surely have their fans. Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho is no exception. The combination of her masterful swordsmanship and speed, the contrast between her smoldering hatred for demons and her outward calm and happy demeanor, her incredible determination in her quest, as well as her butterfly wing fashion and natural beauty create an interesting and appealing character.
And then of course, there are her Insect Breathing techniques which combine mystery, beauty and deadly (often poisonous) precision.
This new 1/8 scale statue of Shinobu Kocho from Aniplex+ beautifully captures the Insect Hashira in the middle of her iconic attack, the Butterfly Dance: Caprice. The dynamic pose is so masterfully rendered that you'd think it was a frozen frame from the anime.
The statue is now available for pre-order with delivery expected in June 2021. Details follow below the images.
