With a beautiful new trailer (see below) released last week and a release date of January 23, 2021 officially announced, excitement over Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, the final film of Hideaki Anno's Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy, has kicked into overdrive.

We can be sure to see countless Evangelion collaborations and events in the months to come, but we already have one to announce, and they couldn't have chosen a more prominent location.

Evangelion Tokyo Skytree Project

The Evangelion Tokyo Skytree Project will be held from December 23rd, 2020 to March 31st, 2021.

If you witnessed the Eiffel Tower getting destroyed (for a good cause) in the first trailer, seeing Evangelion Unit-01 ready to pounce on Tokyo Skytree may seem ominous, but you're probably safe going up to the observation deck. After all, if you don't you'll miss out on all the excitement.

Everything is happening on two floors: the Tembo Galleria at an elevation of 450 meters, and the Tembo Deck at an elevation of 340 meters:

  • Special Evangelion exhibits (Tembo Galleria Floor 450)
  • Exclusive shop selling original goods (Tembo Galleria Floor 450)
  • Original photo service (Tembo Galleria Floor 450)
  • Original collaboration menu at Skytree Cafe (Tembo Deck Floor 340)
  • Special lighting on both floors

More details will be released at a later time. Check the project's official website here for updates.
