Total Concentration! Play hard and study hard with a new Demon Slayer Toy!
Some new information regarding the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hinokami Keppūtan arena brawler, which was originally announced nearly a year ago last March for the PlayStation4, was released this week and boy, is it looking good!
Published by Aniplex and developed by CyberConnect2 (.hack series, NARUTO Ultimate Storm series, etc.) the game consists of both a solo and versus mode. In the solo mode, you follow Tanjiro Kamado on his quest to return his sister, Nezuko, back to human form while confronting all sorts of demons along the way. In versus mode, you are able to play either online or offline, choosing up to two characters from the series to play.
Additionally, the updated news states that the game will also be available for the PlayStation5, Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A brand-new main illustration was drawn by ufotable, which shows the main characters Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Giyu.
Along with the new info comes the brand-new official website and Twitter account, so be sure to check them out and follow the project on Twitter (in Japanese).
Please note that the initial Japanese release date is still to be announced.

Game Overview
What is Demon Slayer?
Demon Slayer was originally a manga series published in Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2016 and concluding in May 2020. The initial run of the anime, brought to life by the amazingly talented animation studio ufotable, aired through April-September 2019. If you are unfamiliar with the series, I would highly recommend starting with the single season of the anime, which covers the story of the manga up to the "Mugen Train" saga, which is told in the most recent feature film of the same subtitle.
Aside from the amazing artwork in both the manga and anime versions, the anime is boosted even more with its musical score by Yuki Kajiura (.hack//SIGN, Xenosaga Episode 2-3, FictionJunction, etc.) and Go Shīna (Code Vein, God Eater, Tales series, etc.). The now classic theme songs like "Gurenge" and "Homura" sung by the artist LiSA were also performed as part of the iconic Japanese end of the year television broadcast Kōhaku Uta Gassen.
The most recent full-orchestra concert was held in Tokyo last November and featured gorgeous vocal performances by Nami Nakagawa (NieR series) and Maiko Katagiri.
Stay tuned for more updates!
