Mondo Design, Inc. is now selling the "Whale" shoulder bag in a special collaboration between their brand SEAL, known for upcycled bags made from reused scrap tires, and the Discovery Channel (Japan).
Features
The "Whale" shoulder bag is made entirely from discarded tire tubes that have been upcycled, retaining their original state.
By utilizing the texture and curves of the tube material, the bag has curved sides, giving it a cute design reminiscent of a whale.
The main compartment is large enough to hold a 500ml plastic bottle.
It also has a zippered pocket and an open pocket for storage. The water-resistant tire tube and watertight zipper protect the interior from sudden rain.
The surface of the tire tube differs from bag to bag, and no two are alike, making it a one-of-a-kind product. In addition, the overall form and the expression of the tail fins require skilled handwork. This bag is truly a work of art created by Japanese craftsmen.
