2021 saw the airing of Cells at Work!’s second anime season. The hit series shows anthropomorphized versions of human cells, and provides an accurate yet entertaining depiction of what goes on inside of our bodies. The main characters are a female red blood cell and a male white blood cell. They work alongside other characters -- also based on other types of cells -- in order to keep the body in top shape.

For those who have become fans of this medical anime series, Kinokuniya will be holding a pop-up store that’s full of merchandise of your favorite characters. The ‘Cells at Work! Pop-up Corner’ will be open for a little over two weeks, from July 16 to August 3, 2021, at the Seibu Shibuya branch.
