Pringles releases karaage fried chicken flavored potato chips in Japan
Virtual diva Hatsune Miku has had her share of products associated with her image. We've seen everything from Miku pigtail cushions, shampoo, and even bento box lunches.
Now, the virtual idol with the twin turquoise tresses is gracing the package of Calbee's latest potato chip offering in an attractive design sure to please fans.

Calbee teamed up with Hatsune Miku last year on these umashio (umami-rich salt) and spring onion-flavored potato chips, and they were so popular that they decided to give her an encore.
This time, Calbee has tapped manga artist and illustrator Ren Sakuragi to create an original illustration of Hatsune Miku, showing her in three sporty poses as a cheerleader, a tennis player, and a track and field athlete.
This won't be the first time Ren Sakuragi lends her considerable talent to illustrating a virtual singer. As some of our readers may recall, she also designed virtual signer YuNi, who had her first English interview here on grape Japan.
Availability
The chips will be available at amusement facilities throughout Japan from late April, and fortunately (considering the present circumstances), as prizes in online crane game apps. For more information, see the official website here.
(If you live outside of Japan, you may need to use a forwarding service such as Tenso or White Rabbit Express to have your prize delivered).
