The new anime series, Blue Period, is now getting a pre-sale with the characters at a few well-known bookstores in Japan!
The manga series with the same name, written by Tsubasa Yamaguchi, won the 13th Manga Taishō award and the 44th Kodansha Manga Award for Best General Manga in 2021. The manga series then got adapted to an anime this year.
The series focuses on Yatora Yaguchi, a high school student, who despite his good grades and good social life, keeps feeling like something is lacking. He continues to feel empty until he discovers art thanks to a senpai from the art club and immediately gets drawn to it. He eventually decides to take up art and continue to do it for a living.
The pre-sale will be available at Miraiya Shoten, some of the Sanyodo Bookstores, Hoshino Bookstore Kintetsu Pass'e, and the Da Vinci stores starting from late-November, this year.
Here are some of the items on sale:
Delguard mechanical pencil
The new mechanical pencil, Delguard, comes in five colors, and each of them has a character imprinted on it: blue (Yatora), pink (Ryuuji/ Yuka-chan), green (Yotasuke), purple (Haruka), red (Kuwana).
Price: 850 yen each (935 yen including tax).
Mildliner (3-color set)
The Mildliner line marker comes in two types of three color sets: the Yatora, Ryuuji/Yuka-chan, Mori (blue, red, gray) set, and the Yotasuke, Haruka, Kuwana (green, purple, orange) set. One feature is that you can use it both for thin and thick lines!
Price: 800 yen per set (880 yen including tax)
Sarasa Clip Color Ballpoint Pen Set of 5
The Sarasa Clips set uses gel ink which gives off a smooth finishing touch when writing. It comes in a set of five: blue, pink, green, purple, and orange.
Price: 1,300 yen (1,430 yen including tax)
Petit Bit Strap
There are eight types of adorable illustrated mini straps of the characters.
The straps come in a box, and one strap is around 600 yen (660 yen including tax)- 4,800 yen per box (5,280 yen including tax).
