With the temperature ever dropping, the idea of chowing down on frozen desserts are probably located at the back of your mind, but even so, we couldn’t miss this chance to introduce Pino’s brand new ice cream flavour – Basque Cheesecake!
When it comes down to what's considered “cool” in Japan’s ice cream world, the bite-sized ice cream bonbons known as Pino are one of the most popular contenders.
The most standard version of Pino features a smooth vanilla ice cream filling wrapped in a thin coating of chocolate; but with the brand marking it’s 45th anniversary in 2021, we’ve been seeing the introduction of exciting new limited edition flavours all throughout the year – For example, take a look at the Amao Strawberry flavour which was released back in March, or the Pistachio flavour which graced the ice cream shelves this summer.
In their most recent addition, Pino has headed straight for a flavour that will melt any heart.
Trapped inside a crispy coating of charred caramel chocolate, is a smooth and creamy rich cheese ice cream made using real cream cheese from Hokkaido for that extra authentic taste. The mouthwatering goodness of the cream cheese flavoured filling is accentuated further by the bittersweet taste of the charred caramel chocolate coating – which is made ever more crunchy by specks of cocoa sprinkles.
The limited edition flavoured ice cream will be appearing extra early at convenience stores from Tuesday the 16th of November 2021, before joining the ice cream shelves of supermarkets nationwide from Monday the 17th of January 2022.
