“Folding” compact ramen nabe hot pot cooks up the perfect amount of noodles for one person
We've seen the head portions of famous Mobile Suit designs from iconic anime Mobile Suit Gundam surprisingly translated to the culinary world, with Gundam-shaped tofu (complete with gold powder filled curry sauce used to paint the tofu like a Gundam model) and even Zaku head cast iron tea kettles.
So why not go back to the Gundam head well for a winter celebration? That's exactly what Premium Bandai has decided to do, this time by releasing a traditional Japanese donabe hot pot modeled after Char Aznable's MSM-07S Z'Gok Commander Type.
Donabe are Japanese earthenware and clay pots that are used to prepare popular winter hot pot, soup, and stew dishes. The MSM-07S Z'Gok Commander Type piloted by the Red Comet Char Aznable happens to be just the right shape for such a pot, making this a winter hot pot perfect for Gundam fans. The duct-designs found on the original helmet of the Z'Gok also double as air holes for the hot pot.
The MSM-07S Z'Gok Commander Type hot pot can be ordered from Premium Bandai's online store for 7,480 yen.
