Ginza Cozy Corner’s colourful cakes are adorable enough to inspire envy in sweet-toothed Disney fans all over the world. Previously, the Japanese confectionery chain has released sets inspired by various films and fan favourites like Mickey Mouse and The Little Mermaid.

But sometimes their Disney releases are based on a certain theme rather than a specific movie. This time around they’ve come up with a box of cute cakes dubbed the 'Animal Collection', perfect for fans of the animation studio's animal characters. Disney-lovers can probably spot the represented characters right away, but here’s a run down just in case!

Starting from the top left corner, there’s a banana whipped cream and cocoa sponge cake modelled on Simba from the Lion King. Next to that is Lucky the Dalmatian made from a cocoa sponge whipped cream sandwich cake, and Marie from The Aristocats as a strawberry whipped cream tart.

The middle row is all Bambi-themed, with a caramel pudding cake to represent the main character, and Thumper and Miss Bunny are next to him as a cream tart with kinako and black sesame whipped cream. Their friend Flower the skunk is a cocoa sponge cake with strawberry chocolate whipped cream.

The bottom row has the two main dogs from Lady and the Tramp. Tramp is a strawberry jam tart with black sesame whipped cream, and Lady is a chocolate and banana whipped cream tart. Lastly, in the bottom right corner is a sponge cake with cheese whipped cream inspired by Dumbo and Timothy Q. Mouse.

The charming set comes in a box illustrated with all the featured animal characters. It will cost 2700 yen and will go on sale in Japanese branches of Ginza Cozy Corner from 18th March until 21st April 2022.
