Have you ever come home, looked around, and felt a mysterious sense of discomfort, like things seem to have been moved to a different place?
Twitter user ネコチャンがいる!!! Nekochan ga iru (@nekochaniru) had just such an experience recently.
When she came back to her apartment after taking out the trash, she narrowed her gaze on one particular spot, and then she did a double-take!
The reason wasn't a ghost or a yokai. The party responsible for her alarm was none other than a "family member."

"I came back from throwing out the trash and was like: 'What the.....????' "
What a surprise, a fluffy tail was growing out of her trash can...!
As it turned out, this was her beloved pet Puku-chan, a long-legged munchkin. All it took was her owner taking her eyes off him for a moment, and he plunged headfirst into the trash can.
As many of our readers know, cats love confined spaces. When Puku-chan saw the empty trash can, he probably thought, "That looks cozy!"
Many people were amused at Puku-chan's mischievous behavior, leaving comments such as:
Among those who commented, a fellow cat owner said: "My furbaby does the same thing!"
Perhaps Puku-chan was thinking it was playing hide-and-seek with its owner!
"Looks like I'll have to take measures... for the trashcan lid..."
But then again, since hanging out in a trashcan isn't too sanitary, Puku-chan's owner probably prefers that he find other hiding places, and intends to do something to make sure it doesn't happen again.
