Virtual Market organized by HIKKY is the world’s largest VR event held on a metaverse platform. This year, for the first time, Yaizu city, Shizuoka prefecture will be participating in event's “Virtual Market 2022 Summer" with a tuna filleting display show.
During the exhibition, “Para-riaru (a mash up of "parallel world" and "real world") Osaka” will have a booth in an airport section to display Yaizu city’s PR video, introducing “Furusato Nouzei” gift items (gifts in return for local municipality tax reduction) which are ranked among the top then in all of Japan, as well as many other booths to show all the great things the city has to offer.
Yaizu city is also especially known for Minami Tuna. Taking this opportunity, they are exhibiting the world’s first “virtual Tuna filleting show” using a large 3D model for the guests to learn about and enjoy the fishery tradition of Yaizu.
There will also be 3D models of negi toro, seared skipjack, canned tuna, and much more of their proud local and popular produce as a Furusato Nouzei gifts. You can also make direct donations from the digital poster on the site, which is linked to their officialnouzei donation website.
Yai chan, the official character of Yaizu city will be welcoming the guests in 3D avatar form, too!
