While everyone has their dream wedding, planning a ceremony is all about working together for the happy couple to be and making compromises. Izumi (@syo_izumi) learned that lesson and took it in stride when they found out their plan for a unique wedding ceremony performance had been rejected, rebounding with a wedding cake guests would never forget.
Izumi, who worked as a salesman for fish market business and currently creates illustrations and sundries of seafood for design festivals and events, wanted to show off their tuna carving skills by holding a tuna carving show at his wedding ceremony--the type you would typically see at a Japanese fish market. Unfortunately for Izumi, that idea was nixed when he proposed it. Instead of hanging his head, Izumi decided to show off their professional knowledge of a tuna's anatomy another way.

Naturally, the cake made a huge impact when it was served at the afterparty, and has blown up impressing many on Twitter with its quality.
The tuna cake's "head" was carved off to display how the innards were designed to reflect that of an actual tuna--only recreated as a sweet and sour raspberry sponge cake, milk chocolate fins, as well as a chocolate pen to mark sections of the fish. Izumi shared the blueprints that they drew up and gave to the baker, taking inspiration from an actual tuna on hand.
