If you're seeking a cute spot to have a light meal or a sweet pick-me-up in the trendy Omotesando / Harajuku area of Shibuya Ward, look no further than 旬゛喫茶パンエス Junkissa Panesu.
Conveniently situated only two minutes away from the Tokyo Metro Meiji-jingumae Station on the Chiyoda and Fukutoshin Lines, Junkissa Panesu reinterprets nostalgic Japanese 純喫茶 junkissa (lit. "classic coffee shop") cafe fare with a cute and contemporary twist. The change in the first kanji from 純 jun, meaning "pure" or "classic" to 旬 shun, meaning "in season" or "trendy," symbolizes their approach. Junkissa Panesu is one of several cafes and restaurants operated by Espresso, Bread &, who also make a super-soft and buttery bread called ムー Mu.
Whether it's their lineup of tasty sandwiches, their sweet and savory loaded Mu Toasts with incredibly thick slices, nostalgic kissaten cafe desserts, muffles (waffles made with muffin mix), or coffees, teas and juices, you're sure to enjoy the great food and cute decor.
