I'm not joking - Japan is really hot right now. Us humans pretend to feel a bit cooler by eating these somen noodles.
Sometimes we even run some noodles down a bamboo for added excitement.
Komoro City Aquarium (Nagano) decided that they should provide something similar to their penguins... so they did this:
Instead of running noodles down a tube, this aquarium put in some mackerels for the penguins.
It appears as if the penguins are enjoying it too... not sure whether they're enjoying the mechanism or just mackerels though.
