Fed Up Little Shiba Inu Adorably Snaps Back At Her Parent

Every hardworking dog deserves a peaceful retirement, and that’s exactly what 6-year-old Shiba-chan is getting after years of running the Suzuki Tobacco store in Tokyo.
When working, Shiba-chan would greet customers by standing up on his hind legs and opening the small window. On days he felt particularly cheerful, he brought a cucumber — his favorite snack — and asked customers to play with him. When things got slow at the store, he snuggled into his space below the counter (usually with his cucumber) and napped, making sure he was ready to greet the next customer.
Unfortunately for all of us, the store recently closed on October 30th, 2015.
Since Shiba-chan was quite the celebrity with TV crews and YouTubers from all parts of the globe visiting to get a glimpse of him, it might be that all that time in the limelight made him more tired than usual. But now, he is able to relax at home post-retirement and just focus on being a carefree dog.
Here’s a look back at one of his golden days at the store, taken by YouTuber kanadajin3:
Happy retirement, Shiba-chan!
