This may look like a turtle’s shell, but it's seriously not. It is one of the traditional Japanese snack called Dorayaki, a red bean pancake which consists of two small pancake-like patties wrapped around a filling of sweet red bean paste. Almost anybody in Japan knows the snack, especially because of the strong influence from an extreme popular Japanese anime character “Doraemon, ” a future robot that loves Dorayaki!
