The retro Nintendo Entertainment System might not be as popular and coveted as it was when it first came out in the 1980s, but that hasn’t stopped fans from playing games on the classic Nintendo console.
Analogue Interactive understands well the unfaltering passions of NES aficionados, and they are in fact known for releasing new-and-improved NES and Famicom consoles in the name of getting and giving the highest quality experience possible from old school games.
But this time they’ve certainly outdone themselves, with the Analogue Nt 24k Gold, the newest version of their original consoles that’s plated from the inside out in pure gold.

Reservations are currently being accepted for the 24k Gold, which can be yours for 4,999 USD. It was created in celebration of the Legend of Zelda’s 30th anniversary, and comes with a gold-colored Legend of Zelda cartridge you won’t be able to get anywhere else.
If you must have the 24k Gold console, forget about saving up for a future purchase — there’s only 10 of these beauties up for grabs, so if you want it, prepare to immediately have your wallet drained.
Even if you don’t plan on playing games on the console, you can still admire it in all its golden goodness. The baseplate is transparent, too, so you can also appreciate how gorgeous it is on the the inside.
