With winter soon arriving, Japanese households are pulling our their kotatsu and heavy blankets to prepare for the biting cold season. And as virtually masters of conjuring up overly comfortable products that will undoubtedly hinder the actions of our day-to-day lives, online retailer Belle Maison has recently come out with one of their newest winter products, the Nest Cushion.

The Nest Cushion is a set of four, 1/4-sized cushions that can be connected to make versatilely shaped lounge beds so comfy you'll be rendered immobile for days. The 1/4 pieces can be used individually as cushy chairs, connected into a semi-circular cushion for a larger, sofa-like space, or put together in a round, ideal nest to snuggle in all winter. You can even purchase extra pieces to make your heavenly circle into a longer oval shape.

The cushion comes in three colors: beige, brown, and pink, with prices starting at 5,929 yen (57.65 USD). You can pull it up in front of a fireplace, and with a stack of magazines and a cup of hot cocoa in hand, you'll have everything you could ever wish for to pass the cold, winter nights. Just make sure you don't get too comfortable, because otherwise you'll never be able to leave this glorious little burrow. Pair it with a kotatsu, though, and we're certain you won't be leaving the house all winter.
