Japanese fans rank the anime they don’t want to see turned into live-action films
With a little creative imagination, it's been shown that talented fans can create some pretty great would-be anime openings, even if they don't have a particularly great budget. Animator Narmak may have taken things to next level, however, by creating a hypothetical opening to SpongeBob SquarePants as an anime series. The opening, set to Colors of the Heart by UVERworld (the BLOOD+ opening), has all the dramatic posing you would expect of an anime opening and even a sword fight between Squidward and Patrick.
It's worth noting, however, that the Japanese text in the video, which appears as credits, is intentionally all over the place. It contains random calls of help from the animator, who complains about how it took two whole awful days to make a certain scene, as well as lines such as "I love anus", "my big butt", and "small dog". Perhaps in the a surreal world of a SpongeBob SquarePants anime, however, that all makes perfect sense.
