If the usual ice cream flavours are a bit too bright for your aesthetic, it could be worth braving the sunlight to pay a visit to Harajuku soft serve ice cream parlour, Coisof, where you can purchase ice cream as dark as your outlook on life.
The new line of ice cream cones is named ‘Gothsof’ (that’s ‘goth soft’, not ‘goths of’ as I originally thought). You can choose from a pure white flavour of Hokkaido milk, or a pitch-black flavour of black sesame seed and cocoa. A Cruella De Vil mix of the two is also available. All these flavours are perched atop an equally aesthetically pleasing black cone.

But fear not, snapping a selfie with your ice cream will not ruin your Instagram colour scheme. In honour of the new products, a gothic Lolita style photo spot has been set up.

Hopefully more establishments will follow suit, so goths can finally get all the food options they deserve.
