From pop culture icons to every day items, it seems there’s nothing that can’t be cardboard-ified by Monami Ohno.
The Japanese artist creates mind-blowingly intricate recreations entirely out of cardboard. We’ve covered her before, but with the announcement of the Nintendo Switch Cardboard Labo Kits, it seemed like a good time to revisit her work and show just how creative you can get with some simple cardboard.
She often makes replicas of recongnisable food items, with an unreal attention to detail.
She's also no stranger to bigger pieces of art, taking cues from movies such as Star Wars and Ghostbusters.
On the more surreal side, she has been known to make totally wearable items like this cute sailor uniform.
Even the signs at her exhibitions are crafted from cardboard!
