Starbucks Japan have finally announced the their final offering in the Christmas beverage line-up for this year. Much like the three kings bringing their gifts to the baby Jesus, Starbucks Japan have brought us three special flavours over the festive period.
First they brought out the Christmas Strawberry Cake duo in early November, a Frappuccino and a hot beverage based on the flavour of the popularised Japanese Christmas cake.

Then we dreamed of a white Christmas with the White Chocolate Snow Frappuccino and hot version.

Now the pièce de résistance, drinks based on the most recognisable Christmas decoration of them all. The tree.
Despite Starbucks Japan's propensity for creating matcha based beverages, the colour of these limited time only drinks doesn’t come from green tea. The base of the beverage is roasted pistachio flavour, giving it its festive hue.

Utilising the most classic Christmas colour combo of red and green, the Pistachio Christmas Tree Frappucino will get you instantly feeling festive.
The ‘tree’ is decorated with a ‘red ribbon’ of raspberry sauce, and at the bottom and top of the beverage is formed with some snow-like whipped cream plus pistachio sauce. Macadamia nuts give an extra crunch to the Frappuccino.
As the weather gets colder, Starbucks claim the warm version of the Christmas tree drink will warm both your body and heart. You can customise both drinks with the usual extras Starbucks offers, giving you the chance to decorate your Christmas tree in however way you want.
The drinks will be available in Starbucks branches all over Japan from 5th to 25th December 2018.
