Russian skating star and champion Evgenia Medvedeva has always been open about her love of Sailor Moon, performing in cosplay and charming a fan base in Japan. Now she's getting a treat that may even top her meeting series creator Naoko Takeuchi in cosplay and getting an autograph. This June Medvedeva will be starring as the lead role in Japan's new Sailor Moon Prism on Ice skating show.
The skating star was recently revealed, in full costume, as playing the role of Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon in the upcoming ice-skating show.
The cast will be rounded out by Japanese skaters Satoko Miyahara as Sailor Mercury and Mirai Nagasu as Sailor Mars, as well as Americans Becky Bereswill as Sailor Venus, Alissa Czisny as Sailor Jupiter. Canadian Andrew Poje take on the role of Tuxedo Mask.
Medvedeva made sure to stop by Tokyo's Sailor Moon Restaurant in appropriate attire.
Sailor Moon Prism on Ice will be run from June 5th to June 7th at the Kose Shin Yokohama Skate Center. Tickets will be made available on March 16th via convenience store Lawson's ticket service.
