Frito Lay is turning up the heat this summer with their Japanese spice infused snacks
In a new initiative for the Japanese market, Frito Lay is focusing on classic Japanese spice flavors wasabi and shichimi pepper across three of its most popular brands in Japan: Doritos, Mike popcorn and its Nikuatsu beef-flavored potato chips.
Wasabi soy sauce flavor Doritos
Using wasabi produced in Hokkaido and umami-rich soy sauce, these chips have a nice wasabi kick and a great flavor to boot. You can enjoy the familiar and satisfying crispy tortilla chips enhanced with the double punch of wasabi and soy.

Yawataya Isogorō Shichimi flavor Mike Popcorn
This is a collaboration between Mike popcorn and Yawataya Isogorō 八幡屋礒五郎, a long-established shichimi seven pepper manufacturer in Shinshu, which is one of the three major shichimi producing regions in Japan. The exciting taste of shichimi and the light texture of Mike Popcorn go great together. In addition to red chili pepper, the mix includes other spices such as Japanese pepper, ginger, and orange peel for a refreshing aroma and stimulating spice.

Azumino wasabi and beefsteak flavor Nikuatsu Chips
Nikuatsu chips are thick ridged chips bursting with the juicy taste of steak, and now they're even better with the rich flavor of wasabi made in Azumino. Grown in the pure spring water of the Northern Alps, the fragrant wasabi from Azumino, which boasts the highest production in Japan, combines with the beef flavor to create a satisfying snack.
