Many plans were put on hold this year, but it’s never too early to start rescheduling and planning ahead, and a calendar placed in in a prominent position in your house is a great way to keep yourself organised and on track.
Of course, if you’re going to be looking at your calendar every day, it should be aesthetically pleasing like, for example, one that showcases your favourite cute characters. That’s what makes these new adorable calendars from Donguri Kyowakoku so perfect. Not only are they filled with recognisable faces from Ghibli films, but they also make a super cute addition to any room thanks to the awesome calendar holders that they come with.
There’s two 2021 calendars to choose from, themed around two of the best loved Ghibli animations, My Neighbour Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service. You don’t even have to wait until next year to put these pretty calendars into use, they will take you from October 2020 to December 2021.
These super cute and detailed calendar holders, inspired by the movie from the matching calendar, are affixed using magnets and metal fixtures, to make an adorable addition to your wall.
The Totoro calendar holder shows a nature inspired scene with the titular forest dweller playing on a tree trunk with his friends.
For the Kiki one, Jiji is the star. It’s modelled like a mantle piece featuring adorable motifs from the film itself, and sitting pretty atop the shelf is Jiji, the little Jiji figure, sunflowers and what looks like freshly baked bread.
Once the calendars have run their course, the holders have a variety of uses such as hooks for your keys or other important items.
The products are available in Donguri Republic stores all over Japan (shop list available on official website), or through their online shop from September for 3200 yen.
