Starbucks Japan Offers Pudding a la mode Frappuccino, Transforms Into Retro Japanese Coffee House For Limited Time
The holidays are a magical time of year. And impossibly stressful. End of the year deadlines piling up, various social commitments to fulfill, and presents to buy. It'd be hard to blame anyone for wanting a drink, but sometimes there's too much to accomplish before cracking open the egg nog. At times like these, you've got to reach for some coffee.
Here at grape Japan, we often head to Starbucks on such occasions. This holiday season, we’ve hit up the retailer for white chocolate matcha brownie drinks, their classic gingerbread latte, and other beverages available for a limited time only. Seeing how popular the chain is throughout Japan, we are not alone in relying on them for much-needed winter-time pick-me-ups.
A very tall order
Sure enough, manga artists Emushi and Emujin (@mshimfujin) also found themselves in a similar situation. Recently they published a manga detailing their experience checking out at a Starbucks. Although they placed normal orders, something unexpected occurred:

I never knew ordering coffee carried such tremendous responsibility. Fortunately for the pair, there was an excellent payoff in the end.
Readers were equally impressed. They reacted:
