The adorable feathered cause of embarrassing apologies at Japanese post offices
Sometimes self-care is taking break. Sometimes it’s having a hot bubble bath for an hour. Sometimes it’s watching a video of a Japanese finch getting a massage thirty times on repeat.
The video in question comes from a Japanese Twitter user, and the post went viral receiving over 90 thousand likes and 26 thousand replies. The video itself has nearly 900 thousand views, which makes sense since many of the commenters admit to watching the adorably mesmerising video on repeat. Check it out for yourself, and feel your stress melt away!
After witnessing such a relaxing sight, it’s easy to see why the video exploded in popularity. The caption reads, ‘This morning’s massage time’, and it shows the owner very gently stroking the finch’s cheeks and head. What makes it extra cute is the finch’s brightly coloured, round cheek markings which make it seem like the contented bird is blushing.
At the end he even gives a shocked look, as if disappointed that the massage was over so fast.
The bird, which is a zebra finch, is called Kintarou, and you can find more super cute videos and pictures of him on his Twitter page!
