"YOU ARE THE BEST" project and charity apparel
The 「YOU ARE THE BEST 〜医療従事者・飲食店ありがとうプロジェクト〜」 ("YOU ARE THE BEST - Thank You Project for Medical Professionals and Restaurants") charity project, jointly implemented by Gigi Corporation, which operates the food tech services Sakimeshi, Gochimeshi, and Bizmeshi, and 文化放送株式会社 Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Co. Ltd., aims to assist both medical personnel and restaurants by donating money to support healthcare workers fighting on the front lines as they cope with the continuing threat of the novel coronavirus infection, as well as by facilitating the delivery of meals from restaurants that have also been severely affected by the pandemic.
Donations to the charity project are partly conducted through sales of apparel made by the BRING™ brand, developed by 日本環境設計株式会社 JEPLAN, Inc. (Japan Environmental PLANning), a company that collects clothes, recycles them, and sells clothes made from recycled materials.
Specifically, you'll be able to purchase T-shirts and eco-bags featuring a design from popular Japanese illustrator Chocomoo. The BRING™ material is a sustainable fabric made with recycled polyester. The T-shirts are great for the summer months: they are sustainable and functional: water-absorbent, quick-drying, and resistant to UV light. Of course, you'll also be contributing to a great cause, since the cost of the T-shirt and eco-bag includes one meal to be delivered to healthcare professionals.
