Starbucks Japan's creative seasonal rotation has moved into the fall with a new Roasted Sweet Potato Frappuccino, but two select stores in the Tokyo area will be offering a refreshing alternative for tea lovers. Starbucks locations in Roppongi and Kichijoji have announced a new lineup of Cassis Lemon & Earl Gray Frappuccinos, tea, and tea floats.
The Starbucks Coffee Kirarina Keio Kichijoji Store, which has reopened and rebranded as a tea specialty store focusing on the TEAVANA brand, along with the Starbucks Coffee Roppongi Hills Metro Hat / Hollywood Plaza Store, another tea-focused branch, have created a trio of drinks that combine cassis (black currant), lemon, and Earl Gray tea:
Cassis Lemon & Earl Gray Tea Frappuccino
A combination of Earl Grey tea with cassis, lemon marmalade, and lavender flavored syrup to create a dessert-like Frappuccino.
Cassis Lemon & Earl Gray Tea (Tea Float)
An iced Earl Gray tea beverage that mixes lemon marmalade, lavender flavored syrup, and cassis and then tops it all off with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.
A hot serving of Earl Gray Tea infused with lavender flavored syrup and lemon marmalade, and cassis which is said to bring out the flavor of the citrus and Earl Gray even more.
All three drinks will be available exclusively at the two tea specialty Starbucks locations in limited quality beginning September 30th.
