Photographer Shows How Awesome Japan’s “Lamest Prefecture” Can Look



If you were walking through Leogang, Austria on October 3rd, and wondering why you saw hundreds of bearded men everywhere, well that's because they were there competing for the prize of best beard. No, seriously, it was the 2015 World Beard and Mustache Championships, and hundreds of impressive facial-hair styles were on display!
Over 300 competitors from 20 different countries made the trek, boasting beards, goatees, mustaches, and mutton chops that showed off a lot of dedication and aesthetic flair. President of the East Bavarian Beard Club, Whilelm Preuss stated that “I am expecting strong competitors with unusual beards in Saalfelden Leogang this year...we will see where beards grow the fastest."
