September 18th, 2016 marks the 45th anniversary of Nissin’s famous Cup Noodle, which is now sold in over 80 countries worldwide, and has widely become a dorm food staple. In celebration for this impressive milestone, Nissin will soon be coming out with a new commemorative Big Cup Noodle worthy of its status as the world’s most famous instant noodle.

Hitting stores in Japan on September 12th is the Big Cup Noodle “Mystery Meat” Pepper Soy Sauce, a giant cup of our favorite noodles that boasts 10 times the usual amount of “mystery meat.”

Though the clumps of meat in the noodles are known as “mystery meat” by fans, they’re actually pieces of flavored minced pork. But regardless of what anyone wants to call it, it’s a fact that they’re downright delicious. And for this special 45th anniversary version of the Big Cup Noodle, the extra addition of mystery meat will be accompanied by even more flavored pork, green onions, and red bell peppers.

Devoted fans will have to partake in this extravagant festival of meat, of course with their very own cup of the “mystery meat” noodles.
