In a collaboration with Italian designer Fausto Puglisi, YOOX came out with two new yukatas for those looking for a more modern, hip, and stylish summer kimono. In contrast to many traditionally designed yukatas with floral motifs, these yukatas are embellished with patterns suns and palm trees.

According to YOOX, the sun is representative Puglisi’s home island of Sicily. The motif is present in both the ivory and candy pink yukatas, creating an edgy but still summery look for anyone seeking variation to the usual look.

Each yukata is handmade with the utmost care, and can be worn traditionally or paired with jeans and a t-shirt. One set of yukata and obi sash can be purchased for 42,000 yen (USD$375).
