Twitter user NON (@TTR03s2) wanted to give a cute prop to her one year old Chinchilla called Totoro and shared the result online.
Like the chinchilla’s name, the plan was inspired by a Ghibli animation. Referencing the main character of Kiki’s Delivery Service, she thought her pet would look cute with a witch’s broom, so she made this adorable rodent-sized prop.

But in practice, Totoro looked less like a witch and more like a domestic servant.

It seems that after the photo shoot, Totoro managed to break the broom, freeing himself from the slavery of housework.
Depsite working out a bit differently from expected, the result is still super adorable. I just hope that Totoro’s fairy godmother appears soon!
