A Look Inside Universal Studios Japan’s New Awesome Anime Attractions
Is it your dream to star in a Japanese anime but thought you would never get the chance due to your language?
An amazing opportunity has arisen for English speaking anime lovers with a sturdy set of pipes. A new animation called Carol & Tuesday which is set to air April 2019 is holding worldwide auditions for singers. A promotional video for the anime is below.
The supervising director of the show is Shinichiro Watanabe, famous for Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. He also directed two shorts for the Animatrix.
They are looking for female singers to sing the dubbed version for the two main characters, Carol and Tuesday. The singers must be under 25, presumably so their voice fits the young characters.
Although the stereotypical female anime voice is high pitched and cutesy, there’s no conditions written on what kind of voice they are looking for, so as long as you meet the eligibility criteria, anyone is in for a chance!
To be considered, the applicant must send a video recording of a solo performance with a backing track or live instruments. Full conditions are written on the official website in both Japanese and English.
This is a great chance for a singer to make her recording debut, especially if she is into anime and wants a foot in the door!
