Asoko describes themselves as a brand that encapsulates the concept of ‘enjoyment in surprises’, and the eclectic shop now has a reputation as a bit of an ‘everything’ store. A great place to shop for affordable gifts while in Japan, you can find all manner of miscellaneous goods, with pleasing designs and pops of bright colour. Even the store itself is aesthetically pleasing.
With such a focus on sleek designs, it’s not surprising that their newly announced Pokemon collab is as slick as can be, boasting items that any fans of the series can give pride of place in their home.
The range is called Asoko de Pokemon, and will drop on 18th January 2020 in both Asoko branches and special pop-up stores which will appear in four Japanese cities (Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka and Kochi).
The whole collection includes a whopping 84 items, spanning bags to kitchen goods, from stationery to fashion. There’s surely something for everyone, especially since there’s plenty of fan favourite Pokemon on show.
The original illustrations were created by Japanese artists, Ifuku Kazuhiko and buggy.
One part of the range is super colourful and striking.
While the other items are in a monochrome line art style for those who like a more muted look.
Just like the rest of Asoko’s products, the Asoko de Pokemon range is very affordable, with smartphone cases for just 550 yen and mugs for just 330 yen. All the items with prices can be checked out on Asoko’s online shop.
