Ever since it launched in 2017, rap battle multimedia franchise Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle (AKA "Hypmic") has grown in popularity, gaining fans both at home and abroad. Their music regularly ranks highly in domestic music charts. For example, Shibuya Division Fling Posse's eponymous single "Fling Posse -F.P.S.M-" ranked 11th on the Oricon general chart in January 2018.

In addition to music, the franchise includes manga adaptations, a mobile game entitled Hypnosis Mic: Alternative Rap Battle which is scheduled for March 2020 and an anime entitled Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle: Rhyme Anima which is scheduled to air later in 2020.
