Although Botanist are a hair and body care brand, they’ve crossed into the world of cafes with their trendy set-up in Harajuku.
The cafe has become known for their aesthetically pleasing drinks and desserts that they also claim have detoxing and beautifying effects, among other health benefits, thanks to superfoods and fresh ingredients.
Previously, Botanist celebrated the holiday season with adorable matcha ‘Christmas tree’ hot chocolates. Now as spring awaits us just around the corner, they’ve announced the fittingly pink dishes and drinks which will make up their limited time only seasonal menu.
Carrying on the seasonal hot chocolates, there’s a cocoa duo made in collaboration with chocolate makers Dari K (800 yen each). You can choose from strawberry cream on top or whipped cream, both have strawberry pieces to finish the spring look off. It can be ordered as take out, but it’s only around for the month of February.
And as the weather gets a bit warmer, there’s an iced chocolate drink (800 yen) to enjoy which uses matcha chocolate, strawberry mousse and a cream cheese foam to create the classic colour combination of cherry blossom season. It takes off where the hot chocolate left off from 1st March until 12th April, and it can also be ordered as a takeout.
There’s some spring-inspired meals on offer too, including a pink vegan carbonara and a salmon burger with cherry blossom powder-containing tartare sauce.
Have a look at the Botanist Tokyo website for all their offerings including plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. The spring menu will start from 1st February.
