It's not exactly breaking news to see Hello Kitty dabble in the world of mecha. Just recently the Hello Kitty vs. Mobile Suit Gundam saw Sanrio's favorite feline turned into a Gundam of her own. Now the Hello Kitty shinkansen, Hello Kitty herself, and transforming train mecha anime and toy franchise Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion are teaming up to make Hello Kitty into a bullet train mecha!
The new figure, set to go on sale in March, takes a model train based off of the Hello Kitty Shinkansen 500 series run by JR West, and lets it transform into both a Shinkalion (bullet trains that turn into mecha) and a Hello Kitty mode Shinkalion.
Of course, it's got a killer anime transformation as well.
The figure will go on sale in March for 8,000 yen, and will be available at standard online retailers as well as stores in Japan that sell Takara Tomy and Sanrio goods.
