犬と猫とどっちも飼ってると毎日たのしい Every Day is Fun Raising Both a Cat and Dog
Known for works like さばげぶっ (Survival Game Club!) and 猫色保健室 (Cat Colored Infirmary), Japanese manga artist Hidekichi Matsumoto has been posting her most recent series 犬と猫とどっちも飼ってると毎日たのしい (Every Day is Fun Raising Both a Cat and Dog), on Twitter for everyone’s enjoyment. The series follows her naively innocent dog and tough-on-the-outside, loving-on-the-inside cat. (We previously posted about Matsumoto-san’s manga here.)
Cat’s Stretch Feels A Bit Lacking
If you sit at your desk all day, your shoulders might get a bit stiff. If you sit cross-legged for too long, you’ll probably get pins and needles in your legs.
In today’s episode, Matsumoto-san observes what her own pets do when they need to stretch. Seeing her cat however, leaves her feeling a little uneasy.

First her dog stretches out thoroughly. Downward dog and then upward dog, just like in yoga class. Nice stretch pup! Must feel good!
Then Matsumoto is dismayed by her cat’s stretching. She stretches out her front legs, but then just gets up and briskly walks off. Hence Matsumoto’s reaction, “Do your back legs too…”
It’s safe to say that much in the same way people all stretch out differently, so do animals. Maybe the cat went off to finish stretching where nobody was watching…
