If you’re a gamer who also wears makeup, you can find all kinds of adorable cosmetics collections in Japan, with packaging and colours inspired by famous video game characters such as Super Mario and Pokemon.
Thanks to his obvious kawaii appeal, a particular favourite is Kirby. Earlier this year in Japan, Kirby fans were treated to a cosmetics lineup in convenience stores, including lipsticks and eyeshadows in adorable pink packaging adorned with the round little guy himself.
Now the same brand, Lovisia, are releasing some Kirby skincare items to go with them. Namely, three types of novelty sheet mask with the faces of various characters printed on them.
Although they look a bit creepy compared to the original characters, these masks are a way to bring a bit of fun into your usual skincare routine, or they can be used for special occasions like sleepovers or a pamper night in.
You can pick your favourite from three available characters.
Kirby is pretty in pink as usual.
Waddle Dee makes an appearance too.
Or you can look as dashing as Meta Knight.
The ingredients in the product focus mainly on moisturising, with collagen, hyaluronic acid and shea butter.
If turning into a Kirby character for 15 minutes or so while giving your skin a moisture boost sounds like the perfect night in to you, the masks will go on sale from 19th June in various stores in Japan, as well as Village Vanguard and Tokyu Hands online stores, each mask costing 430 yen.
