Whether it's for the (then) world debut of ruby chocolate, rare volcanic chocolate, or cacao fruit chocolate, Kit Kat has always offered their most premium products at their Chocolatory stores.
The latest Chocolatory location opening in the brand new Miyashita Park commercial complex in Shibuya on August 4th, 2020 takes the notion of "premium" to a new level by offering what will be a world's first for the global chocolate snack giant: A make-your-own original Kit Kat service. While other Kit Kat Chocolatory locations outside of Japan have Kit Kat customization in which store staff make Kit Kats with ingredients you specify, the Miyashita Park Chocolatory will be Kit Kat's first experience-based store, and this special service where customers make their own Kit Kat entirely by themselves will be the most prominent expression of the store's concept.
Kit Kat Chocolatory Miyashita Park
In addition to unique experiences such as the make-you-own original Kit Kat, the Miyashita Park Kit Kat Chocolatory, which is the 8th store in Japan and the 4th store in Tokyo, offers Premium Kit Kats under the full supervision of "Le Patissier Takagi" owner chef, Yasumasa Takagi.
The store also features a Kit Kat-designed piano that anyone can play, and Shibuya-themed pop design interior with a surprisingly large "Kit Kat" jutting out from the wall, a surprising bicycle, and a cute statue of Hachiko, the faithful dog and Shibuya icon.
You'll also find limited sweets that you can only experience at this store, such as fluffy and moist waffle-like Kit Kat sweets, and a rich original soft-serve ice cream making generous use of couverture chocolate. You'll also be able to enjoy a variety of coffee drinks by NESPRESSO. You can try some of the store's suggested pairings of seasonal limited coffee drinks and Chocolatory products.
