Japanese Twitter user and photographer @ttt_zegu952) seems to have a knack for capturing photos of wildlife such as deers and foxes frolicking in areas of scenic Japanese nature. One of their latest pictures is setting the bar for perfect timing and cuteness, however, as @ttt_zegu952 has on multiple times stumbled upon a cat taking refuge from the rain at a shrine--a miniature shrine for kitties, that is.

The shrine itself is surrounded by a number of cat trinkets and statues, including maneki neko (beckoning cat), a traditional Japanese figurine of a cat thought to summon good fortune to its owner. Judging by a number of pictures, it appears to be the shrine located in the the middle of the woods on the "Cat Island" of Tashirojima.

@ttt_zegu952 also has the fortune of finding many of the cats that surround the shrine, which not only has a roof to protect from rain, but is a popular feeding area for the island's kitties. Legend says that a fisherman, who bonded with the island's cats and used their presence to predict fish behavior, mourned and enshrined a cat at the spot.
