Monster Hunter and Naked’s Anniversary Exhibition Will Fully Immerse Visitors in 4D Monster World
The "Monster Hunter Orchestra Concert 2020" is a special, fully orchestrated concert that Hunters from around the world can enjoy-- online!
The first Monster Hunter concert was held for the game's 5th anniversary in 2009, and has been held in Japan every year since 2014. In 2019, concerts were held in 5 cities across Japan to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the series!
This year, however, the concert will be held strictly online due to the Coronavirus outbreak, but this will be the first time EVER for it to be accessible to fans from all across the globe!
One of the highlights of the "Monster Hunter Orchestra Concert" is the combination of powerful backdrop videos of Monsters along with the musical performance of a full orchestra! Aside from the popular themes from the Monster Hunter series, many themes from "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn" will also be performed!
Conducted by Kurita Hirofumi, a maestro who has been conducting these concerts since the very first Monster Hunter Orchestra Concert in 2009! The concert will be performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the most prestigious orchestras in Japan!
The instrumental unit HIDExHIDE with their dual Shakuhachi and Shamisen as well as guitarist Daisuke Miyazaki will also be performing!
Lastly, the producer of the Monster Hunter series, Tsujimoto Ryozo, will appear for a behind the scenes discussion about the series! Don't miss it!
Please view the official website for further information and how to purchase tickets!
It’s both in Japanese and English, so no need to worry!

What’s very cool for me personally about this concert is that, even though I’ve never played a single Monster Hunter game before, I know several people involved in this production! Several individuals who were involved in other game music concerts that I performed in will be participating in this concert, so I would love for any fan of the game series or its music to tune in! For example, a choral instructor from one of our previous concerts, who is also a massively talented composer/arranger not to mention the owner of a breathtaking tenor voice, will be performing in the chorus! Additionally, Takeoka Tomomichi worked on the score arrangements.
Comment by Takeoka Tomomichi:
Since this is a series of concerts only held in Japan, I’m very happy that it can be viewed from around the world this time! I wrote this orchestration to recreate the world of Monster Hunter with a live orchestra. Relive the world of the series as you feel the breath of monsters come from this music.
Miyazaki Daisuke, on the other hand, is a totally rockin’ guitarist who was also one of the performers for the Mega Man LIVE 2020 concert which I discussed here!
Here are some awesome shots from previous concerts to give you a hint of what to expect!
