Cold Stone Creamery can be found in various locations around the world, but something about Japan’s branches of the musical ice cream vendor results in the cutest ice cream offerings around. Sometimes they are inspired by adorable characters such as Rilakkuma and Little Twin Stars, but this month’s new limited time only treats are to celebrate Halloween.
The ‘Trick or Sweets’ lineup consists of several new ice cream formulations using autumn flavours and cute decorations. The decorations consist of a chocolate pumpkin and a cotton candy ghost which sits on a langue de chat cookie. These wispy ghost friends are made by hand, so customers can enjoy the different shapes and expressions that appear each time.
The ‘Ghost Pumpkin Treat’ selection looks like a successful trick or treat haul, and consists of pumpkin flavoured ice cream, Oreo cookies, M&M's, whipped cream, and caramel sauce.
The ‘Autumn Sweet Tiramisu’ is more aimed at adults, with pumpkin ice cream, tiramisu, brownie pieces, whipped cream and caramel sauce.
Lastly, the ‘Caramel Pumpkin Garden’ creation is a bit more fruity. There’s pumpkin ice cream, diced pear, banana, whipped cream and a caramel sauce drizzle. The healthy option.
Of course, if these options don’t tickle your fancy, the Halloween ghost and pumpkin decorations can be added to any flavour of ice cream if you can bear to part with a little bit of yen (50 yen for the pumpkin and 100 yen for the ghost).
These spooktastic creations are available in Cold Stone Creamery branches all over Japan this month while stocks last.
