Spooktober is upon us and it wouldn’t complete without some treats to go with all the tricks. Although Halloween has only become a ‘thing’ in Japan in recent years, nowadays confectionery purveyors go all out on tons of fun and cute seasonal treats.
Ginza Cozy Corner are a chain known for their aesthetically pleasing creations and for this year’s Halloween season they’ve already released a bewitching set of cakes inspired by Disney Villains. But if you’re not a Disney fan, they’ve also put together an adorable set of Halloween desserts featuring some usual suspects, perfect for an at-home Halloween party.
The set has nine different cakes, each featuring a different spooky character and flavour. The top row includes a skull-topped chocolate roll cake, an eyeball raspberry tart and a bat berry mousse. The middle row has a mint chocolate cake Frankenstein, a black cat tart, and a ghost chocolate cake. The bottom row consists of a pumpkin choux cream mummy, a pumpkin roll cake, and witch’s tart filled with purple sweet potato paste.
This spooky set is only going to be on sale for three days, from 29th October to 31st in branches of Ginza Cozy Corner in Japan, costing 2592 yen.
